25 November 2022

Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani has received Ambassador Brian Aggeler, Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today’s thematic meeting has focused on the priorities of North Macedonia’s upcoming OSCE chairmanship 2023, among which Osmani has highlighted the strengthening of the field missions and the increased care of the organisation for the region of Southeast Europe.

In that context, Osmani has underlined, among other things, the important role of the OSCE in building a stable and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We highly appreciate your assistance in strengthening the democratic capacities of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and your efforts to build confidence and safety in the period following the signing of the Dayton Agreement,” Osmani has said.

At the same time, the Minister has pointed out that as a future OSCE Chair, from January next year, North Macedonia will be deeply committed to the principles and fundamental values of the organisation, but will also make additional endeavour in responding to the current security challenges in our region and beyond.
