The MFA submitted complaints to the Council of Media Ethics on 8 May 2019 regarding a biased and fabricated text originally published on “Magazin.mk” web portal. Texts with similar content were published on the portals: “Republika”, “Skopje24”, “Denesen vesnik”, “Lider”, “Makedonija Vesti” and “Markukule”.

The seventh meeting of the Standing Joint Border Committee with the Republic of Greece was held on 7 June 2019 in Skopje.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov will lead the government delegation tomorrow (Monday, 10 June 2019) in Sofia to take part in the first meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria, co-chaired by Minister Dimitrov and Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterina Zakharieva.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Bujar Osmani and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov paid a working visit to Paris today.

 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Andrej Zernovski met today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a delegation of the European Affairs Committee of the Croatian Parliament, led by the chairperson of the Committee, Domagoj Milosevic, currently paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia from 4 to 6 June.

Yesterday at the Skopje International Airport, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov and a delegation of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia welcomed NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and the ambassadors of member countries of the Alliance, members of the North Atlantic Council set to hold its regular meeting in our country today on topics from the Council’s agenda.

The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov as part of their working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, met today with Didier Reynders, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.

 

Pursuant to Article 10 of the Final Agreement for the Settlement of the Differences as Described in the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993), the Termination of the Interim Accord of 1995, and the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between the Parties, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia and of the Hellenic Republic exchanged today Notes Verbales to upgrade the Liaison Office in Athens to an Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Office for Consular, Economic, and Commercial Affairs in Thessaloniki to a Consulate-General. Under the Notes Verbales, the Liaison Office in Skopje will simultaneously be upgraded to an Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, and the Office for Consular, Economic, and Commercial Affairs in Bitola to a Consulate-General.

The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bujar Osmani along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov met with Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi as well as the chairman of the Committee on Relations with the Western Balkans at the Italian Senate, Luciano D’Alfonso as part of their working visit to the Italian Republic.

 

Today State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Viktor Dimovski, met the rapporteurs from the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, Lise Christoffersen and Valeriu Ghiletchi who are on a two-day working visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
