Today Foreign Minister of Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, paid one-day official visit to Republic of Macedonia. In Ohrid he met his host, Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki, as well as the President of Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov and the President of the Government of Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski.

Today Foreign Minister of Republic of Macedonia Mr. Nikola Poposki had a farewell meeting with H.E. Mr. Maruli Tua Sagala who is leaving the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Indonesia to Republic of Macedonia, resident in Budapest.

 

This evening Foreign Minister Poposki addressed the young participants from several countries who took participation in the International Programme Preparing Global Leaders Institute that again took place in Macedonia.

 

Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dragana Kiprijanovska received the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Macedonia, located in Jerusalem, H.E. Dan Oryan.

 

Today at 11 a.m. in the Hotel “Desaret” in Ohrid was the closing day of the Summer Camp 2014 “I Love Macedonia”. The camp was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and included 100 school-children from the Communities of Macedonians in the neighbouring countries, the Balkan countries and the Diaspora.

The Summer Camp 2014 “I Love Macedonia” is implemented within the frames of the projects realized by the Ministry of Foreign Affair.

 

Today Deputy MFA Dragana Kiprijanovska had a meeting with the Head of Liaison Office of Greece to Republic of Macedonia, Ambassador Theoharis Lalakos. 

  

Today, Deputy Foreign Minister of Republic of Macedonia, Dragana Kiprijanovska, received the letter of credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador of German Federal Republic, Christine Althauser. 

 

Today, the Ambassador of Greece to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Theoharis Lalakos was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he was handed with a letter of protest. The letter of protest was issued due to the last action of the Special Forces of the Greek Army during a joint military exercise with the Army of Cyprus held in July 2014. These forces exclaimed provocative paroles with speech of hatred.

Today, on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of Ilinden uprising and the 70th anniversary of the first session of ASNOM, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki, as representative of the Government delegation, laid fresh flowers at the monuments of ASNOM, Nikola Karev and Metodija Andonov-Chento in Skopje.
