Today Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki had a meeting with Ser Andrew Burns, current chairperson of IHRA, International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. The Delegation led by Andrew Burns who is a special envoy of the United Kingdom for issues related to post-Holocaust initiatives is on a three-day visit to Republic of Macedonia within the frames of the regional tour.

On 11th October 2014 under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki, the 18th diplomatic tennis tournament took place on the tennis courts within the ABC Tennis Club in Skopje. Representatives from the Embassies of USA, Russian Federation, France, China, Switzerland, Ukraine, Slovenia, Slovakia, EU Delegation, as well as employees in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Macedonia took participation.

Today Foreign Minister of Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Poposki, had a meeting with a high delegation from the House of Representatives within the US Congress. The delegation led by congressman from Ohio, Michael Turner, is on a working visit to our country.

 

Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Poposki paid official visit to Montenegro. During the meeting with his host Lukshic, it was mutually agreed that Montenegro and Macedonia have friendly relations and share the same priorities, and both Ministers Poposki and Lukshic reiterated the need to create a joint approach in advancing the economic cooperation as well as to attract foreign investments.

On 1st September 2014 the Ambassador Igor Esmerov Presented the Letters of Credence to the president of Republic of Hungary, János Áder on the occasion of his appointment at the position Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Macedonia to Hungary.

 

Today Foreign Minister of Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki, received the delegation of political executives from the Foreign Ministries of the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). The executives are visiting our country in order to meet with the conditions and activities in key priority segments related to Euro-integration.

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki received copies of the Letters of Credence of the new Turkish Ambassador to Macedonia, Ömür Sölendil.

 

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the presence of the diplomatic corps and other distinguished guests marked 100 years since the start of the First World War with addresses delivered by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki and French Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia, Laurence Auer.

Today, Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki who is in Prague for an official visit of the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski to the Czech Republic had a meeting with his Czech colleague, the MFA Ljubomir Zaoralek.

 

Regarding the recent statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece and referring to the discussions on the name difference under the auspices of the UN Secretary General, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia categorically denies that the declared Greek position for finding a solution for overall use (erga omnes) is based on existing and applicable international law, and that the use of the constitutional name of Republic of Macedonia in the stated contexts in the statements presents a violation of international law.
