By decree of the President of Republic of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, Macedonia’s Foreign Minister’s Cabinet Chief, Gorica Atanasova-Gjorevska, was bestowed the Order of the Star of Italy – Commander.

 

In the period 18th – 20th November a diplomatic training for the diplomats in the Ministry from the area of economic diplomacy was held. 

 

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki, took participation at the Scientific-Expert round-table on “Euro-Atlantic Challenges of the Republic of Macedonia: Problems, Political Reality, Future Solutions and Opportunities after 2014 NATO Summit in Great Britain” organised by the Faculty for Security Studies from Skopje and held at the Army House.

Today, at the EU Info Centre in Skopje, Minister Nikola Poposki opened the photography exhibition “Slovakia: Following the Road of the Velvet Revolution”. The event was organised by the Slovak Embassy in Skopje in honour of the important 25th anniversary of the fall of the “Iron Curtain” and the democratic changes in Central Europe.

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki held a regular briefing with the Ambassadors of EU member states to review the current developments related to the EU integrations of the Republic of Macedonia, especially in the context of the latest working visit to Brussels where he met with the newly appointed Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn and representatives of EU member states at the European Council as well as members of the European Parliament.

In the period 17th – 21st November 2014 a workshop is taking place that covers the topic of International Humanitarian Law. The workshop is organized by the Institute of Geostrategic Research and Foreign Policy within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Macedonia, the Institute on International Humanitarian Law from San Remo and the Embassy of the Italian Republic to Skopje.

On 12th November 2014 MFA Poposki met European Commissioner on European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn.

 

On 10th November 2014 the first Ambassador of Republic of Macedonia to the United Arab Emirates, Sasho Tashevski, presented the Letters of Credence to H.E. Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

 

On 11th November 2014 Foreign Minister of Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki, had informal conversations with representatives of the EU member-states in the Council of EU.

 

Today in Prilep and Bitola on joint ceremonies the Day of Armistice of WW1, 11th November, was marked.
