The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, met with the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of North Macedonia, Mrs. Rossana Dudziak.

 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Andrej Zernovski, took part in the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of countries participating in the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative and the 4th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian region (EUAIR) in Budva, on 8 May 2019.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, delivered his address today in Venice during the opening of the Pavilion of North Macedonia at the Venice Biennale’s 58th International Art Exhibition. This year our country’s national representative is the project of the Museum of Contemporary Art titled “Subversion to Red” by artist Nada Prlja.

Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov met with the heads of the observation missions at the recently concluded presidential elections – Mrs Sereine Mauborgne of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Mrs, Marie-Christine Dalloz of the Council of Europe, as well as Mrs. Corien Jonker, head of the OSCE/ODIHIR mission.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov attended the opening ceremony of Europe Days organized by the Institute of International and Political Studies in Skopje. This year the event celebrates its fifth edition of organizing various activities to observe 9 May – Europe Day when the European Union celebrates the peace and unity of our continent.

The traditional celebration of MFA Day – 29 April was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art. This year’s jubilee marked the 50th anniversary since the establishment of the Bureau for Foreign Relations in 1969, the precursor to the modern Ministry of Foreign Affairs which in 1991, on Independence Day, took over the responsibility to establish the country as an independent and sovereign state.

The Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, received today the Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Belgrade, Marco Antonio Garcia Blanco.

Today a meeting of the Inter-ministerial Body for Human Rights was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, which is chaired by the Minister Dimitrov and whose work involves the State Secretaries of various ministries, heads of relevant institutions as well as independent human rights bodies.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov wrapped up his working visit to The Hague, the Kingdom of the Netherlands with a meeting with his Dutch counterpart, the Foreign Minister Stef Blok.
