On the sidelines of the Economist’s Conference, held yesterday and today in Athens, FM Nikola Dimitrov held talks with his counterpart from Cyprus, FM Nikos Christodoulides where the date of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Cyprus was set for the end of August during this year’s ministerial meeting (Gymnich) in Finland.

 

At the invitation of the renowned magazine The Economist, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, took part today in Athens in the 23rd Roundtable with the Government of Greece titled: “Europe: leaving indecisiveness behind?”

On 15 and 16 July 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of North Macedonia resident in Belgrade, Kimmo Lähdevirta.

 

Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov and the Ukrainian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Mrs. Natalia Zadorozhnyuk, signed an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the travel conditions for the nationals of the two countries.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, met today with the newly appointed ambassador of the United States of America, Kate Marie Byrnes, who presented the copies of the credentials as the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of North Macedonia.

 

Today in London, on the 2nd day of the Global Conference for Media Freedom, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, on behalf of the Republic of North Macedonia, signed the Global Pledge on Media Freedom under which countries take on the commitment to work together on protecting media freedom.

The delegation of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia composed of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov and the Minister in charge of Communications, Accountability and Transparency, Robert Popovski are paying a working visit today and tomorrow to London at the invitation of the UK Government.
