     Today Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki received Ambassador of Slovak Republic to Republic of Macedonia, Martin Bezak.

    

     At the working meeting they discussed the priorities and activities of Slovakia within its frames of the one-year presidency over the Vishegrad Group (Slovakia, Czech Republic,   Hungary and Poland) that started on 1st July this year. They reiterated that the support for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of all countries from the Balkan remains high on the foreign policy agenda of the Vishegrad Group.

    

     Ambassador Bezak extended an invitation from the Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak to Foreign Minister Poposki for the traditional meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Vishegrad Group and Western Balkans that will take place on 31st October 2014 in Bratislava.

 

     Speaking of main foreign policy priorities – the integrations in NATO and EU and regional cooperation – Foreign Minister Poposki underlined the significance of the continuous and principal support that Republic of Macedonia receives from Slovakia.

 

     In the spirit of this year’s celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between these two countries, Minister Poposki and Ambassador Bezak reaffirmed the good Macedonian-Slovak bilateral relations and expressed mutual readiness for their further improvement and continuation of the political dialogue on the highest level.
