The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov received today the copies of credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Ms. Nives Tiganj.

The two interlocutors exchanged views on the European perspective of North Macedonia and the countries in the region in the context of Croatia’s upcoming presidency of the Council of the EU in January 2020. In this regard, Minister Dimitrov thanked for the consistent support of our European perspectives. FM Dimitrov voiced expectation that the achievements will be valorised which in turn will create preconditions for making a tangible step forward on the European agenda.

Mutual satisfaction was expressed with the relations between the two friendly countries which were evaluated as excellent and without any open issues. Views were also exchanged on the further advancement of sectoral cooperation, the intensification of trade exchange and the addition of new features to the cooperation in education, culture, agriculture etc.

FM Dimitrov welcomed the Ambassador Tiganj and wished her success in her new diplomatic mission in North Macedonia.
