The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, received today in a farewell meeting Her Excellency, Mrs. Yin Lixien, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of North Macedonia, prior to her departure from the country.

Minister Dimitrov thanked Ambassador Lixien for her contribution to building the Macedonian-Chinese friendship. Voicing satisfaction with her productive engagement in our country, Minister Dimitrov presented her with a certificate of appreciation for her efforts and dedication to promote the friendship and the close cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the People’s Republic of China.

“Your sincere, well-intentioned and professional approach to work has contributed, among other things, to the intensification of high-level visits”, Minister Dimitrov said. He voiced satisfaction with the fact that 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries were marked during her term in office. FM Dimitrov stressed that the two countries have a wide-open field of cooperation opportunities in front of them and expressed his belief that her successor will continue to foster this upward trend with the same dynamics.

“I am a great friend of the Republic of North Macedonia and I share the joys of your successful work”, Ambassador Lixien said. Welcoming the positive development in bilateral cooperation, she voiced satisfaction with the high-level meetings which have been following a successful dynamic in recent years, with the bilateral cooperation that has been deepened in several areas, above all economy and culture, and with the positive direction of international cooperation in the multilateral sphere.

Both sides reaffirmed their interest in further advancing cooperation with the PR of China in multiple areas of mutual interest, especially within the framework of the 17+1 Cooperation.
