Today, at the invitation of the Alumni Association of graduates from Republic of North Macedonia in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Embassy in Skopje, Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov took part, as an honorary guest, in the working breakfast on “Macedonian Foreign Policy in a variable dynamics”.

Addressing the audience, Minister Dimitrov noted the key internal and external political moments in the last two years – the country’s international reputation – from an isolated country in crisis to a country of success and progress; the signing of the Treaty on friendship, good neighbourliness and cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria, the Prespa Agreement, the signing of the Protocol for NATO membership and the efforts to finally open the accession negotiations for EU membership.

FM Dimitrov conveyed the satisfaction of a large number of students from North Macedonia currently studying in Turkey and vice versa. He thanked for the Turkish scholarships awarded to our students, whose numbers reach 1400 so far, emphasizing that the student population “is an unbreakable bond and bridge between the two friendly countries and nations”.

During talks with representatives of the Alliance as well as those of Turkish companies and cultural institutions, satisfaction was voiced with the level of cooperation with Turkey which is carried out in the spirit of traditional friendship with emphasised positive approach of the two countries towards deepening the overall cooperation.
