During the second day of his working visit to Berlin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, met with his German counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Heiko Maas.

During the meeting, the ministers exchanged opinions on the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as on the dynamic bilateral cooperation between the two countries, both politically and economically. On this occasion, MFA Dimitrov again voiced thanks for the continued bilateral cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany for the implementation of the reform processes in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the significance of the Berlin Process in this context. Speaking about the domestic political situation, Minister Dimitrov said that, "despite the challenges, the possibilities for a positive step forward and progress remain open for the Republic of Macedonia.

MFA Maas expressed satisfaction at the overall progress of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as on the course of the implementation of the Prespa Agreement, noting the importance of completing this process, which is a prerequisite for the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the country.

During the working visit to Berlin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov, in interviews for Die Welt and Der Tagesspiegel, in addition to questions regarding the process of European integration of the Republic of Macedonia and the Prespa Agreement, also expressed his views on the role of the Federal Republic of Germany in South East Europe.
