In his address before the members of this committee, MFA Dimitrov briefed on the latest developments in the domestic political situation in the Republic of Macedonia, with emphasis on the upcoming activities related to the complete implementation of the Prespa Agreement. Minister Dimitrov addressed the reform EU and NATO agenda, as well as the Macedonian contribution to the development of good-neighbourly relations and regional cooperation with South East Europe. Minister Dimitrov emphasised: "We are determined to succeed and to celebrate the start of accession negotiations with the EU together, at our next meeting".

MFA Dimitrov met with Jan Hecker - Foreign Policy Adviser of the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. The interlocutors discussed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and noted that the completion of the reforms in the Republic of Macedonia is, first and foremost, for the benefit of the citizens themselves and for transformation of the country in a credible European democracy. It was jointly confirmed that the historic visit of Chancellor Merkel on 8 September is proof of the exceptionally high level of Macedonian-German relations.

Minister Dimitrov also delivered a lecture at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Humboldt University on the subject of "Diplomacy, Democracy and Compromise in the Western Balkans – Macedonia's Progressive path towards EU accession and lessons for the Region". MFA Dimitrov emphasised: "In the long run, the only vision for a stable and prosperous Western Balkans is one guided by a constructive and productive competition. This strongly depends on the region’s European integration. In its absence instead of goods and services, the region will export people and instability."
