Macedonia in the World

On 28 November a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation was signed between the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius and Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the rector of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Prof. Dr. Nikola Jankulovski, the first resident ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Japan, H.E. Dr. Andrijana Cvetkovik, and Sophia University President, Prof. Dr. Yoshiaki Terumichi.

On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, an official ceremony took place at Sophia University, at which Ambassador, Dr. Andrijana Cvetkovik, and President, Prof. Yoshiaki Terumichi gave addresses. Ambassador Cvetkovik expressed her satisfaction at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation, emphasising that it will contribute to strengthening educational cooperation through academic exchange and institutional linking. She conveyed the interest and readiness of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius for cooperation in all scientific fields and forms of academic exchange of the two universities, especially in fields in which lectures are conducted in English.

The signing of the Memorandum is another step forward in the strengthening of bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Japan in the area of education and academic cooperation. The Macedonian Embassy will continue to work on initiating cooperation with many universities in Japan, with the aim of promoting the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
