Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonian and Minister of Foreign Affair, Nikola Poposki, received copies of credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Macedonia, Carlo Romeo.

At the meeting, both sides emphasized their satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Italian Republic, with emphasis on mutual efforts aimed towards further strengthening friendly relations and intensifying economic cooperation.

Minister Poposki wished the new Italian Ambassador success in his mission and thanked Italy for the announced assistance in mitigating the effects of the floods.

Ambassador Romeo underlined that the Republic of Macedonia will always find an honest friend in Italy as well as a supporter in the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

Interlocutors agreed to continue building close relations between the two countries through incessant strengthening of their cooperation.
