A working meeting of Heads of Diplomatic and Consular missions of the Republic of Macedonia – Ambassadorial Council was held from 24 to 26 August 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki.



Also addressing the meeting was the guest of honour, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, who was paying a working visit to the Republic of Macedonia.

As part of individuals sessions, the President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorgje Ivanov, the President of the Government Emil Dimitriev, Parliamentary Speaker Trajko Veljanovski, Minister without portfolio Bill Pavleski as well as the director of the TIRZ Viktor Mizo also delivered their addresses before the heads of diplomatic and consular missions.

Aside from topics arising from the ordinary course of business of the Ministry and DCM, the meeting tackled topics of national, regional and global significance, with addresses by guests from the country and abroad. The Director of the Administration for Security and Counterintelligence Ljupco Andonovski, the Director of the Intelligence Agency Nakje Chulev and the University professor Daniel Server delivered their addresses at the special sessions.

The meeting was closed by FM Poposki.
